Eligibility
Undergraduate students from under-represented backgrounds including person who identify as belonging to a group that is underrepresented in biomedical and data sciences. Students must be over 18 years of age but may be from any University in the United States and territories.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Permanent Resident
Enrolled undergraduates or recent college graduate (not yet enrolled in a graduate program.)
2.75 GPA or higher.
Students from a computational background with an interest in biomedical research or students with a life science background with a strong interest in computer science are strongly encouraged to apply.
Application Deadline and Materials
A personal statement written as either an essay of 1-1.5 pages or a signed video (maximum of 3 minutes) in American Sign Language (ASL) explaining how this program will help you in your future goals for a career in biomedical informatics and data science.
A resume that describes prior experience
Official academic transcripts.
Contact information (name and email) of two individuals for the program to contact for letters of recommendation.
